Kingdom Hearts

Postby MilesCastea » Wed Jul 21, 2010 9:09 pm

Who here is a fan of the action RPG series Kingdom Hearts? I am, and both KH and KH II where one of the best RPGs I've ever played. It's a great series but what irks me is the constant comments that the series is kiddy...I prefer to think not.

I for one, love the series. I personally wish Final Fantasy would take a page from their book and use THAT battle system. I've played every KH so far. Unfortunately I'll be in basic training when Birth by Sleep comes out :(

I've beaten Kingdom Hearts years ago but all games in the series are on my "To play" list again.

It's a great series of games if you ask me.

I haven't gotten 258/2 Days yet, but I plan to; because I think Roxas is awesome. Anybody agree?

Also, I'm looking forward to Birth by Slepe, finally we can get some info on the prologue of the series.

On subject...what disney worlds do you want to see in the future?
I for one, want to see these:
The Incredibles
Dumbo
The Emperor's New Groove
Lilo & Stitch (not the space one in BBS, I want to see one based actually off of Hawaii, the location for the films)
Chicken Little
Toy Story
Monsters Inc

Edit: One potential subject for the proposed KH III could be the heartless versions of Organization XIII. Besides the fact we know they exist (Except for Xemnas, which is dead now) but we barely know anything about them, not even names.

Umm warning about 358/2 days... the difficulty can be schizophrenic. You'll face one boss who you can take out blindfolded, then the very next one will be so hard and frustrating you'll tear your hair out. I also hate that they made "Got it memorized?" Axels catchprase. Everytime i heard it i wanted to punch him. Overall i didn't think it was all too good of a game. 3/5 in my opinion. I would rent it if you have the option instead of buying.

well... compared to the others in the series 358/2 days wasnt that great... i have trouble thinking of why it lacked the awesomeness that kh1 and 2 had but it definitely is the least good in the series =/

^ Chain of Memories wants to talk to you.
The whole Cards thing was pointless. How does not having the right card(s) disable my ability to reach for the knob, turn it, and open it? >_>

...also...i've heard that there was a cell phone KH game that really sucked.... KH: Coded?
...but it's getting remade (pretty much everything but the main story will be different, i think) on the DS. definitely want.

well i dont really like gimicks instead of the actual game...(358/2 panels, chain of memories cards) i would rather have a regular kh game than have a bunch of stupid gimmicks... =/ and the worst parts about 358/2 days in my opinion is that you cant free roam... you just get to stay at the organization place and go on missions, and no gummi ships D:

I for one, liked the panel system, AND card system. It was one of the few unique things in the games. I thought i added some good variety.

I agree with Cmdood. For one, the panel system (358/2 Days) and card battle system (chain of memories) was refreshing and a nice step/twist away from the usual bash and slash battle system with the occasiconal casting of a fire/blizzard/thunder spell.

But slashing and bashing was the only thing I liked about Kingdom Hearts D:

yeah and to me the cards and panel system added on to that without taking away... or is that just me?

Eh, I didn't feel the bash and slash at all with those systems. But hey, I've always generally disliked Kingdom Hearts' general direction anyway. They took out everything that made it fun and disneyish in the originals, and are slowly edging closer to final fantasy and generic RPG crap with every game. but that's just me. :V
