I was randomly searching every word I know of and searched up earthbound mmorpg because I felt like it.

It was way back when, so I downloaded the brickbreaker and played that a lot.

Then 3 days before it went online I checked the site again, thinking it probably had disbanded by now and didn't ever exist.

IT DID

I had had a tough winter (it was literally cold as hell outside) and was wanting to find an Earthbound MMO. I found Father, and shortly thereafter found SVO. It was a happy day.

I don't get if this is supposed to be a joke, or you were just not thinking/not caring.

"... as hell" is just an expression which means "very" or "extremely". But I guess in this context it could be a bit contradictionary.

Or perhaps our boy TM is hinting that it's far too late-- Hell has already frozen over.

Pack up yer stuff boys, lets go home.

I know that people use the phrase "It's (blank) as Hell" the same way they use "It's (blank) as cupcakes".
In other words, just to emphasis their point.
It was the word literally that made it sound weird.
I wasn't sure if TM was just trying to say that it was VERY cold, or making the joke that Raven made about Hell being frozen over.
