Yes! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The server running costs are paid with our own earned money. Donations are very much appreciated if you like the game.

Are battles Earthbound-style (Turn Based)?

Yes they are. 

What is the maximum level in the game?

The current maximum level is 100. You might be able get a higher level by unlocking features in SVO.

Can I use my own custom sprite?

Yep, there are several ways you can get your own sprite in SVO: donate, win contests or help out development.
